But before we do if you could just please take a second to hit that like button down below it would really help me out more likes equal more views and new viewers into the channel here really would help support this series and my channel as we continue on with this big endeavor that is this deep dive series now about a third of the way through also if you enjoy make sure you subscribe down below turn on notifications so you do not miss a single deep dive team preview as we count down to the number one team in my rankings but let’s get into detroit who is now in year two of this really tear it down full on rebuild here under dan campbell and it’s a team that’s undergone decades and decades of really just suffering in misery and I love that they’ve really taken a step back and said look we got to really tear this thing up we got to be patient with our head coach we got to make the right moves and build this thing up from the ground up and that’s exactly what they’ve done I think everybody agrees that detroit is in the middle of the process of what is looking like a very promising rebuild really ever since dan campbell and brad holmes took over here every single move they’ve made makes sense and brings value to the team and has added upon the last move they’ve made they’re compounding good decisions and it’s leading to a lot of excitement and promise for this lions team ranking 24th here coming into the season that’s gonna be a good bit higher than I think a lot of people expect this is the team that held the number two pick in the nfl draft last yearso it’s going to be a really fun episode here to talk about a lot of those good moves that they’ve made a lot of the young players that you should be aware of that are helping build something here in detroit um and also to recap an offseason that was pretty damn good for detroit. Cnnso he’s still trying to learn something he played with the gus miles on playbook that gus miles on playbook is is a lot of this. But it’s got to be kyle fuller as I mentioned got the starting job in week one last year kind of by default because ethan postic had multiple injuries in training camp came back too early got banged up and by the time he returned the end of training camp end of the preseason fuller had won that job so he was the starter in week one started a number of games and overall just wasn’t that impressive had some issues in the run game communication was a real problem you could tell other players uh dwight brown in particular were frustrated at times by the lack of communication from the center position and so seattle went back to ethan posek even though they resigned fuller as a restricted free agent gotta wonder if he is really gonna be part of their plans in 2022 dakota shepley could push him if one of these youngsters comes in and they move into center and really picks things up fast see huddle might be bold and say we’re gonna move forward one of these rookies I think fuller’s probably more on the right side of the bubble at this point but shepley would be the one guy that could really push him in this raceand you know if he plays well it’s possible seattle might go with a younger player that they haven’t gotten to see on the field at this point they know what kyle fuller is there may be more upside for shepley as he continues to gain experience at that position so there’s a lot of pressure on fuller here no guarantees that he makes this roster necessarily so he is squarely on the bubble in my opinion as always thanks for making the lockdown seahawks podcast your first listen five days a week you can follow me on twitter at corbinsmith nfl make sure to check out lockedon seahawks on apple podcast google podcast spotify and we’re streaming five days a week on youtube coming up on our blue friday episode i’ll be tackling your questions in our weekly mailbag segment plus checking out which other players could be next in line for extensions after brian monet received a two year deal earlier this week you won’t want to miss it enjoy the rest of your thursday thanks for listening in go hawks.
